My first meal was a Southern Barbeque Steak with brussel sprouts and red pepper hash. Let me just say that I am not a cook. One of the reasons I’m engaged is because my cooking isn’t edible and I’m tired of eating fast food! LOL! However, the recipe was really easy to follow and the portion was good enough for two people. I’m a 6’3 215lbs guy and I was full from just one serving. The food was pretty decent. I’d give it 4/5 stars because the sirloin steak seemed a bit tough to me. Don’t they say organic steak supposed to be more tender? However, the toughness could be attributed to my cooking abilities (or lack thereof). Overall it took about 40 minutes for me to cook and prepare the meal. Total net carbs 14 grams.

My second meal was a chicken fajita salad. That was really easy to make (much easier than the Southern Barbeque Steak). That was good because I was so tired after work today and I did not want to sit there and spend a whole lot of time making an elaborate meal. The portions were huge and in fact, I could almost say they gave me too much chicken because I went into the refrigerator and added more lettuce to balance out the chicken thighs.  I’m not really sure how ‘Cuban’ the Cuban spices were but they added a really nice flavor to the meat. I would’ve preferred chicken breasts over thighs, however, I’m guessing this is how they manage to keep the price down as the organic chicken breast is quite expensive.

My favorite meal was the Malaysian Spiced Pork Patties. Those were so exotic and yummy! They were also surprisingly easy to make and the vegetables were fresh and delicious. It actually tasted like a dish I had in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. Like the other two meals, it was easy to make and took about half an hour. I did have to cook the pork patties a little longer than the instructions but that could be because I didn’t make them the 1/2 an inch thick like the instructions called for. An important note though, don’t expect to find this dish readily available in Malaysia. The reason being that Malaysia is a Muslim nation and pork is strictly forbidden in Islam. I was pretty hungry so I actually ate both servings in one day!

Overall I found the directions were pretty easy to follow. The recipes are written and illustrated with step-by-step photographs which I found to be extremely helpful. Some may not like the relatively high amount of packaging they used. I called the company and they said when they used to just put all the ingredients in the box with color-coded labels too many customers complained. That’s why they switched to wrapping each meal ingredients in a paper bag.

Green Chef isn’t for those on a tight budget.

The appeal of Green Chef comes from the ‘green’ aspect and green ain’t cheap. Eating organic food and worrying about biodegradable packaging it is a reflection of privilege. At least Green Chef puts organic healthy eating within reach of more people than ever before and I commend them for that. Any attempt to eliminate cancer-causing pesticides from our food supply will always have my support. For that reason, I will continue to use this company and recommend you give them a try as well.

My name is Cam and I wanted to make a real red tea detox review so I actually bought the product and will tell you what I really think of it. Is the Red Tea Detox a Scam?

Right off the bat I want to tell you that this is a pdf book. There’s no actual tea included in the price which may irk some people. Before they were using a photo that had a packet of tea but I’m glad they took that down. That was the only scammy part of the system. Although, another thing I didn’t like were the up-sales. I understand marketing and they have bills to pay but there’s a lot of upsales which many people, including myself, will find annoying. I will say, though, that some of the up sales were good. Organify is a well known green drink and has been proven to cleanse toxins. The other up-sales I don’t know much about since I didn’t buy them nor have used them.

Other Points to Consider

My Findings!

After trying it for 2 weeks I did lose weight and the tea did ward off any hunger pangs. As a fitness junkie that used to be 300lbs I know what works and what doesn’t. Keto Nachos & Keto Jerky–Why I Love Keto!

If you read my keto diet story then you know one of the main reasons I decided to try the keto diet is because you get to eat cheese! Yummy! Despite being a full grown man my favorite food is still nachos and you get to eat those while still on keto! I’ve tried many recipes while on the keto diet and their all good but this is, by far, my favorite keto nacho recipe! You can get this and 370 great tasting keto recipes–here!

Keto Nachos Prep Time 30 Mins

Ingredients:

2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon cumin 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon chili powder

1 cup cooked taco seasoned ground beef

1/4 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

2 tablespoons chopped onions

1/4 cup diced tomatoes

1/4 cup jalapenos

1/4 cup sliced black olives

2 tablespoons guacamole

2 tablespoons sour cream

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 400°F. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat. Sprinkle the cheddar cheese on the parchment paper in a thin layer, in the shape of a rectangle.

Sprinkle the Parmesan cheese evenly over top of the cheddar cheese. In a small mixing bowl, combine the cumin, garlic powder, and chili powder. Sprinkle the seasoning mix evenly over the top of the cheeses.

Bake on the middle rack for 8 to 10 minutes, checking every minute to ensure that it does not burn. Remove the baking sheet from the oven and let the cheese cool for 10 minutes.

Peel the cooked cheese away from the parchment paper and cut lengthwise into strips. To make this easier, I recommend using a pizza cutter or kitchen shears. After cutting the cheese into strips, then cut each strip into triangles.

Transfer the individual chips back to the parchment paper and broil on high for 1 to 2 minutes. Let the chips cool and crisp up – about 30 minutes. Pile the chips on a plate and cover with all of your favorite nacho toppings.

Ingredients:

1 can Cola Zevia

3 lbs top round beef

1/2 cup liquid aminos

1/4 cup rice wine vinegar

3 tbsp liquid smoke

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp Onion powder

1 tsp Red Pepper Flakes

3/4 tsp Paprika

1/2 tsp ground ginger

1/2 tsp black pepper

5 bamboo skewers

Instructions:

Pour a can of zevia into a gallon size ziplock bag and add the soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, liquid smoke and add the seasonings. Trim the top round of any excess fat and cut into strips to your desired size. I like them on the smaller side for easy grab and go!

Add the cut up strips into the marinade and shake around. Seal the bag (removing any excess air) and place the bag into a bowl so there is no leakage.

Place the bowl into the fridge for at least 4 hours and up to 24 hours. Once the meat has marinated remove the bowl from the fridge and pat the strips dry with paper towels (the marinade will have already penetrated the meat enough!).

Using the bamboo skewers pierce the tip of the meat so you have anywhere from 5-7 pieces of meat hanging from each skewer. Set your oven to its lowest setting (we did 170 degrees) and hang the skewers through the grates in the oven so the strips are hanging.

Bake for 4 hours (for thicker strips you may need to bake longer), remove from oven and serve immediately or store in the fridge up to 1 month.

NOTE: For every 3lbs of raw meat you’ll get 1lb of cooked delicious jerky!
