## What is Garcinia Cambogia?

Garcinia Cambogia is a fruit that is found in the jungles of South East Asia, most commonly in Indonesia. The reason it’s gaining popularity is because it has some weight loss properties. Specifically, it contains Hydrocritric Acid or HCA for short. There is some data that suggests that this chemical works as a natural appetite suppressant and helps reduce the amount of fat that is absorbed into the body by partially neutralizing the body’s Citrate Lyase enzyme (a key enzyme in fat absorption).

Sellers of diet pills will often point to a study that show this does help to lose weight. That’s the thing though, whenever you here someone say ‘there was a study’ or pointing to just one study to prove a point they’re almost always trying to sell you something. I studied biology and that’s just not the way scientific research works. There must be multiple studies performed by different individuals that show the same thing in order for something to be accepted as scientific fact.

What the diet pill sellers won’t tell you is that there are other studies that showed that HCA only had a moderate impact on fat loss. So while HCA is effective it’s not the miracle compound that some sellers make it out to be.

Taken together, these results indicate that treatment of HCA-SX over a period of 90 days results in a reduction in body weight, but did not cause any changes in hepatic and testicular lipid peroxidation, DNA fragmentation, or histopathological changes.

Molecular and Cellular Biochemistry 2003 Data

So the next question is are there any negative implications. The answer is we don’t know yet. There is some evidence that it can cause liver damage to those with weak livers, it can also worsen mania episodes of those with bi-polar, and it’s not recommended for pregnant women or women who are breastfeeding.

Overall, as it has been an FDA approved supplement it should be generally seen as safe. It’s important to note that when it comes to FDA approval that doesn’t mean the government is saying it works. It just means that the FDA has determined that most people who take it won’t drop dead from it.

My overall conclusion is it does work and if you are already relatively healthy you can give it a try but if you already have a litany of health concerns to stay away as the moderate weight loss isn’t worth the additional health concerns.

These are dietary supplements that use the Garcinia Cambogia extract. They promise large weight loss by suppressing your appetite and stopping your body from absorbing fat. Try it for free. These supplements are made by the Iron Radiant Farms. They are FDA approved and they really can help to lose weight if used the right way.

## My Experience With The Keto Diet Began with a Message on a Dating App

It was a warm May day in 2017. It was a day that I’ll never forget. It was my second day in the Philippines. I had just moved into a condo in Las Pinas (a suburb of Manila). I had gotten settled in and was laying in my bed, bored.

Being bored I did what most gay men do; I went on Grindr. Not looking for anything, in particular, I was just playing around on the app when a nice young man messaged me. We chatted on the app and then we talked on the phone.

We began to talk…
and talk…
and talk.
Before I knew it we had been talking for almost two hours!

He told me he was separated from his wife and was looking to explore his sexuality. He made it clear he wasn’t looking for a ‘hold hands in public’ type of relationship.
That was perfectly fine with me as I wasn’t ready to get serious with anyone anyway.

After talking for quite a while he asked to visit me.  We went over what we would do and what the boundaries were yadda yadda standard hookup procedure.

He arrived at my condo building gate and I said let’s get a soda first since I was thirsty. We were walking and talking and then he just stopped.

He looked at me and said

“I didn’t know you were fat. I think I’m going to pass”

Time just stopped….

I was so humiliated!

It wasn’t just that he rejected me it was the way that he rejected me that hurt so much. He might as well have pierced a knife into my heart that’s how bad it felt.

Angry and humiliated I was so ready to attack him.

I think he sensed that because he stuck out his hand to shake mine.  I was still ready to punch some respect into him but I decided that wouldn’t be a good start to my new life in the Philippines.

I shook his hand and we parted ways.

When I walked into my condo it took everything I had to prevent myself from crying like a little girl…

### Never Again!

Afterwards, he sent me a text thanking me for me time to which I didn’t reply.  That night I told myself something that has stuck with me.

I WILL NEVER BE REJECTED ON GRINDR LIKE THAT AGAIN!

I’ve always been a realistic person and never afraid to face the truth. I knew there were two main things going against me on Grindr or any gay dating app in the Philippines.

My dark skin is beautiful to me so I wasn’t going to do anything to change that but I sure as hell could lose weight! After researching I found an article that talks about how to get a decent gay man. It said  losing weight would, amongst other things, help my dating woes

### I Came Up With A Plan

After researching many diet plans I figured all these plans work if you stick to them.  The key is to find something you could stick to! I decided that Keto was the right diet for me.

Why? This is why!

With Keto you get to eat lots of steak and dairy! Picked up a keto beginners guide and it told me to use a keto calculator to measure how many calories and carbs I should eat. I have made a Macros Calculator that you can use it has a beautiful interface it asks simple questions and it tells you how many carbs, fats, protein, and calories to eat. The best part is it’s free with no email required!

Take The Keto Quiz to See if Keto is the Right Way to Lose Weight For You

### My First Keto Diet Experience Was Bad!

I wish I could say everything went honkey dory from there but sadly it didn’t. Resisting staple foods such as bread, potatoes, and rice proved to be a lot more difficult than I expected. Also, I felt like it took forever to get into ketosis! For me, it took 2 weeks to enter ketosis which may as well have been forever!  What’s worse is if you cheat whilst on Keto, you lose about a week’s worth of progress!

After the two week mark, I got the Keto flu which for me was just feeling really tired and just out of it and I began dwelling about bad things in the past that happened to me. Those 12 words “I didn’t know you were fat I think I’m going to pass” kept playing in my head for about a day and a half.  I quit after 16 days and ate a large pizza by myself.  I felt pretty bad about it, to be honest.

I may have been down but I was far from out! This time I decided to jump on the Keto train again. After some soul searching I discovered if I could just get into ketosis faster the weight loss would motivate me to keep going!  I decided to try Purefit Keto which is a natural supplement that helps put you into ketosis faster. It reduced my appetite and increased my energy. It’s also worth noting that I didn’t have a keto flu this time.

### Second Time’s A Charm!

My grindr profile reflects the change!

I’d be lying if I said I never got rejected on grindr again but let me tell you losing weight made my dating life better than its ever been before! Seriously, despite (proudly) still having very dark skin I went from being ignored to having an inbox full of messages every time I opened my grindr app! I also got my skin to clear up!

### How I did it:

• I used Alkatone Keto to help speed up the ketosis process
• My  favorite breakfast was keto egg muffins with sausage and cheese
• For my recipes, I used free recipes from the 28-day keto challenge. When I got tired of those I used Green Chef.
• Lunch would be protein heavy for example chicken breast with cauliflower rice and keto brownies
• Dinner also protein rich for example a chicken soup or lento beans and beef

## Why Do The Keto Diet?

Keto was the right choice for me.  I love cheese, meat, and vegetables so I didn’t mind the restrictive nature of the diet once I got into ketosis. That being said it’s certainly not for everyone and it’s not the only diet that works out there. If you’re thinking about Keto I put together this quiz to help you see if Keto is right for you.  Let me say right off the bat if you have kidney or liver problems I would consult a physician before trying Keto.

### Keto Mental Clarity

Once I was in ketosis the second time I began to notice a sharp increase in mental clarity. I have ADHD but I began to have a much easier time remembering things. I didn’t lose my keys anymore, for example. I also was able to think more quickly on my feet.

I remember when I was in a debate with someone and he asked me if I knew which two presidents have ever been impeached and without even thinking I said “Andrew Johnson and Bill Clinton”. It was a ‘woah!” moment! Plus the guy shut up.

### My skin cleared up

Before keto, I used to have problems with acne and abscesses. My immune system must have gotten stronger because now my skin is as soft and clear as a baby’s bottom.

## How to Save Money While on Keto

While on keto you’ll probably spend more on food than before–remember you’re replacing cheap carbs with expensive meats and cheeses. How much more depends on you. I was able to save by getting a large amount of my protein from cheap eggs rather than expensive meat.  I also saved a ton by not buying sweetened drinks.

Another way to save money is to have low carb meals delivered to you. This is a great way to experiment and see what you like and don’t like. There are some really delicious low carb options my favorite low carb meal is keto nachos! It’s fried chicken strips with white kidney beans, meat, guacamole, and pico de gallo

Green Chef Keto

Nachos are allowed in the Keto diet! And yes there’s real meat, real cheese, real sour cream, and real guacamole not that low fat fake diet crap!

For snacks, you can get a plethora of free snacks ideas online.  Forkley.com has a ton of free great keto snack ideas.  My favorite keto snacks are:

• Pork Rinds
• Cheese Crisps
• Fudge Fat Bombs
• Keto Pigs in a Blanket

If you are busy *cough* lazy *cough* like me then you can also get keto snacks delivered to your door. Those snacks are likely to be perfectly measured to make sure you’re still within your macronutrient requirements.

If you want to lose weight then keto is the best way to quickly lose weight without feeling hungry. It worked for me and 10s of thousands of others who have tried it. You have nothing to lose but your weight! I want to be able to gloat about my own grit but the truth is the supplements are what helped me to go into ketosis much faster and thus keep me motivated to lose weight and stick to this plan!

Oh, it’s also worth mentioning that the jeepney drivers don’t charge me double anymore either! LOL!

## How Can I Stop Compulsively Eating?

I’ve found that those who are overweight have a lot of willpower, these individuals can go without eating, no problem; it’s just when they start eating, or put into an area that’s conducive to eating, it gets out of hand.

Intermittent fasting is what helped me push this avalanche of food consumption to much later part of the day. I can only eat so much at one time, no matter how hungry I get, and this usually only happens after eating carbohydrates.

Fasting is usually never a big deal for people, if they start out right and don’t over do it. It’s just, the compulsive eating disorder, which is real, takes over. I completely understand, and I still live with it.

I know the “perfect day” for weight loss based on my previous day/week/month for my goals, but guess what? I love pizza and hamburgers with crispy fries. I know myself, if there’s something delicious in the house, it’s 50/50 it will survive the night.

I have a way of pushing things, and never wanted to restrict myself. However, guaranteed damn near every three weeks, I have this spurt where my body naturally doesn’t like to eat much. I found this through the study of my notes; taking notes when I had irregular cravings or vise verse. Believe it or not, it works! I have a rough map of my metabolism. On the weekends I usually have no chance; so no need to fight it, ride with it. Makes sense, I’ve always eaten more on weekends throughout childhood as there was no school.

Take notes of odd days, when you’re feeling overly hungry/tired, and days where it’s just the opposite; this information will be invaluable later on. Make sure to list what you did that day and the previous day to get a more detailed map.

Also, the mindsets are just wrong; one cookie doesn’t need to be the box!

Just because you eat one “bad” food item, doesn’t mean it’s over!

A client of mine, she said: “Once I eat one treat or bad snack, I feel like I’ve lost, and that the whole day’s ruined. I get mad at myself and then depressed. Without realizing it, I would eat the whole box; then it would be a vicious cycle of overeating and depression. It’s like, once I start, I can’t stop!”

Little things can help; on top of living a healthy lifestyle, and say you’re following one of my basic plans or at least practice intermittent fasting, these tips can help combat overeating:

1. After the first meal of the day, plan an activity for directly after, get out of the house, or in a different room from the refrigerator.
2. Buy cheat day foods on cheat day, not the day/week/month before!
3. Purchase/prepare your post workout meal either directly before or after the workout.
4. One cookie doesn’t have to be the whole box! Realize it’s OK to slip up sometimes and not to let this depress you into overeating. The next day can always change strategically to take advantage of the previous day’s habit; there is no such thing as a bad day, only a bad way! The “bad” day can be used tomorrow as the right way. We all gain our willpower, and usually, after a “collapse” we can pick up our level of determination that the following day.
5. Don’t eat standing up, sit down and eat an excellent dish. Don’t have your meal in front of the TV, really make an effort to enjoy every bit. Most people eat out of habit, and eat quickly, watching a show or walking around you can eat the meal and never even enjoy it! Realize if you feel like eating after this, it’s not hunger, it’s habit!

If anyone has any tips or eating hacks they would like to share; please post them in the comments below!

## Here’s Why You’re Not Losing Belly Fat!

Remember when you got your first smartphone? I do. It was an iPhone back in 2014. I was so excited to open the stylish box to reveal my latest toy. I began playing with it while completely ignoring the instruction booklet that came with it.

I just thought I would figure it out. Turns out I’m not alone. Over 90% of people don’t read the instruction manuals that come with their phones and as a result many companies have stopped including them to save money.

We all know we probably should read them as they have valuable information but we just figure we can figure it out. That’s the same attitude many of us have with our weight. We know there are tons of resources out there to help us get rid of that pesky belly fat and get the flat stomachs we all want but we just think that we’ll figure it out.

I could write an entire book about obesity (oh, wait, I’m already doing that).

However, now that we’re in the ADHD age most people no longer want to read a big long book even if it could save their lives. Therefore I have made a quick start guide to get rid of belly fat.

### Losing weight everywhere except your stomach? You’re eating way too much of this…

The truth is if we did take the time to read more often we’d know that there is a big culprit that’s contributing to that big gut and it’s in your kitchen right now. Want to guess what it is?

Butter?

Red meat?

Salt?

Carbs?

I’m afraid not. You see the main culprit to weight gain is sugar! Yes I’m afraid so. It’s been shown to actually be more addictive than cocaine and in some ways is worse since you can live without coke but not without sugar. Maybe you’re thinking “I already knew that” but what you may not have known is that sugar is in almost everything we eat.

That salty tasting McDonalds hamburger?  10 grams of sugar!

Okay but we all know a McDonalds burger isn’t good for us but there’s lots of hidden sugar in many foods that dieters eat. For example that pasta sauce that you ate for lunch probably had 6-12 grams of sugar per serving. That’s almost a quarter of your daily recommended sugar intake in just the sauce!  Salad dressing can have 7-10 grams of sugar in just 2 tablespoons! WebMD has a list of 13 foods that are surprisingly high in sugar.

Try this experiment the next time you go shopping. Walk down the aisles and examine the stuff you normally buy. Including stuff you wouldn’t even think they’d put sugar in – soup, salad dressing, instant potatoes, juice, frozen foods and even baby foods…

Now, if you read the list of ingredients you’ll find some of the sugars I mentioned above. Keep in mind that this list of ingredients is organized from the highest concentration to the lowest. So if some kind of sugar is listed in the first three ingredients – and it’s often #1 or #2 – then you’re eating a whole lot of it.

Sugar is a killer and, while okay in small quantities, is extremely unhealthy, fattening and addictive. That’s right – thousands of independent clinical studies have shown that sugar is more addictive than cocaine and even heroine…

…and it’s in virtually everything we eat!

So is it any wonder why you might find it hard to drop the poundage?

Here’s what may shock you!

There’s actually a list of vegetables that are routinely served in restaurants and found in the produce section of the grocery store that are generally thought to be healthy… but are actually very bad for you and inhibit your ability to drop weight!

Health, fitness and weight loss are complex issues and we’ve been fed a lot of myths over the years. That’s why I’ve made it my goal in life to share the truth about foods, exercise and weight loss that we westerners have been denied for so long!

### You’re cutting too much of this…

You know how you’ve been told for years that salt is evil? Turns out that’s not so true either…

Independent clinical research clearly illustrates how cutting salt from your diet is actually counter-productive to weight loss and can even cause long term health risks.

Doctor Sam Pak, a specialist on internal medicine and human bio-chemistry explains the true relationship between salt and weight loss.

“Your body uses salt for a variety of reasons. Among these is that salt helps balance the PH levels of your stomach acid, allowing you to more easily break down foods for efficient digestion. By robbing your body of salt, you not only reduce the amount of nutrients your lower GI is absorbing, you’re also preventing the body from breaking down certain acids that are dangerous to the rest of the body.”

Doctor Pak continues,

“When you don’t break these acids down, your body begins to create and store more fat as a defense against these harmful acids. Your body enters a state known as metabolic acidosis. I liken it to leaving a pot of stew on the stove. Over time, the food begins to rot. This is exactly what happens in the human body as a result of a lack of salt. No matter how hard you work, you’ll simply create more fat deposits and erode muscle tissue.”

### You’re doing cardiovascualr exercise…

What’s the first thing that anybody thinks of or tells you whenever the idea of weight loss is brought up?

You’ve got to hit the treadmill, exercise bike or the streets and burn those calories!

On the surface of it, this makes sense, right? After all, you’re doing a lot of work and you’re sweating and breathing heavy. Surely running a few miles every day must be dissolving those unsightly LB’s like crazy, right?

Would you be surprised to hear that this is actually wrong? No, I’m not crazy – let me lay it out for you…

Yes, cardio does burn calories, it’s true. And yes, some cardio is good for you. Light cardio promotes a healthy heart and increases your endurance. On the other hand, though… heavy cardio actually begins to have the opposite effects.

Before I get into why, let me give you a simple but common sense example. Imagine pre-historic Man. These men and women are running around the Paleolithic world chasing down antelope, red deer, aurox, bison and the occasional wooly mammoth.

Most of their diet comes from animal protein and what edible plants they can scrounge. Well, if cardio was so great for losing weight, these people would simply starve to death while running down their food. All that cardio would burn through their energy reserves faster than they could replace them.

Yet they didn’t starve to death… why?

For one thing, a lot of heavy cardio is hard on your knees and feet.

Second, it’s also hard on the heart.

Too much cardio actually begins to add scar tissue to your heart and increases your rate of heart attack. We didn’t realize that for a while until many scientific studies were done on the subject.

As for losing weight, excessive cardio actually has the reverse effect and here’s why. Our bodies are genetically designed to survive. Our body’s job is to store energy as fuel both for its immediate use and in the form of fat for those times when food is scarce.

In modern times, of course, food isn’t really scarce, so this built in safety feature is rarely needed. However, when you deprive your body of the nutrients it requires, either by starving yourself on some crazy diet or by over-taxing your body with lots of cardio, it begins to switch into survival mode.

This means that it begins to burn the most effective source of energy first – and that’s not fat… it’s your muscle. Take a good look at some of these chronic long distance runners who compete. Many of them are kind of stringy looking and have to pack in the carbs just to maintain their muscle mass.

You want your body to burn fat, not muscle, obviously. It’s not really about calories, as many diets and so-called fitness gurus try to make you believe. Calories are only a means of measuring food energy. Yes, if you want to lose weight, you must take in less calories than you consume, yet there’s so much more to it than that.

The biggest secret to weight loss isn’t running 10 miles every day, starving yourself or even avoiding some of your favorite carbs, believe it or not. In fact, if you’re going to lose weight properly, it’s actually important that you do eat some of your favorite foods!

I know that sounds crazy, too – but it’s absolutely true, and I can prove it to you! If you know how to use your body’s natural processes to your advantage, it’s entirely possible to lose 10, 20 or even 30+ pounds in a single month without starvation diets, gut wrenching cardio, ridiculous workouts and eating anything gross!

### So how do we get rid of belly fat then?

Eat the Right Foods at the Right Time

If you’ve lost weight but still have a belly eating the right amount of salt is just one critical component in your weight loss journey.  We’ve established that not eating sugar and keeping the salt would make you lose belly fat. Problem solved! I’ll accept my Nobel prize now.

Oh wait there’s just one problem. Not eating sugar and/or eating too much salt will kill you. The real way to get a flat tummy is to eat the right foods at the right times and doing the right exercises.  In the full guide it is explained in perfect detail the right foods to eat, when to eat them, and the minimum amount of exercise to lose the optimal amount of weight fast.

Exercise right

The right type of exercise is key! Cardio may feel great but its not the best exercise to get rid of belly fat. The best type of exercise is resistance training. Why? Because building muscle will turn your body into a fat burning furnace.

Cardio burns calories while doing it but stops shortly after. Building muscle through resistance training, specifically the right kind of resistance training, will make your body burn fat, including your pesky tummy fat, long after you leave the gym or your living room!  The best news is you don’t need to spend hours at the gym pumping iron like some body builder either. The full guide will show you exactly the right type of exercises to do, when to do them, and most importantly how to do them.

Control Hunger Pangs

One of the biggest sources of unaccounted for calories in your diet is snacking. We think that ‘oh just a nibble won’t hurt’. But the truth is it can add quite a bit to your calorie intake

Now you might be thinking “oh boy here’s the part where he’s going to tell me not to snack  or to eat celery and carrot sticks”. Nope! I hate celery and carrot sticks. The best way I use to stop snacking is to drink tea. Green Tea is good but I’ve found Red Tea made from rooibos is best to soothe my hunger pangs. Catechins contained in tea help inhibit the growth of fat cells, and reduce fat storage. Since it also helps stabilize blood sugar levels, it is an effective appetitesuppressant.

Due to its high antioxidant levels, it’s also considered to be anti-inflammatory – reducing inflammation also has an impact on battling illness and disease, and it can also help the body recover after a hard workout.

In addition to the benefits derived from the rooibos tea itself, ginger and turmeric has been added to make it an extra-potent inflammation and pain fighter.

## Does This Sound Familiar?

You’re trying to lose weight. You’ve tried points, you’ve tried low carb, you’ve tried killing yourself at the gym but nothing works! You’ve even begun lying and telling people that you’re ‘body positive’ and that you’re happy with your weight.

Then you see your friend that’s managed to lose a ton of weight and she’s getting all the attention. Everyone’s asking her ‘what did you do?!” and you notice she’s getting invited to more functions than you are.  Her clothes are even way more pretty!

## The Solution is on Your Kitchen Table

Clinical Research Reveals Startling News About How The Very Key To Dramatic Burning Belly Fat Is Sitting On Your Kitchen Table At This Very Moment

Fitness expert and Korean Doctor share exciting information about how a single and all too common kitchen item is literally the key to losing as much as 7 to 10 pounds in a single week.

You’ve tried cutting out carbs… you’ve followed Atkins, Southbeach and the TLC diet… you’ve worn the tread off your running shoes… and yet, you’ve seen no significant weight loss or perhaps you’ve seen the weight come right back again when you take a break. This is an all too common story for most people living in western nations today.

The reasons that you’ve struggled with your weight like so many of us is because like all of us, you’ve been exposed to fitness and weight loss myths, rather than facts. Considering the weight loss industry generates more than $70 billion in the United States alone, its big business and they aren’t in a hurry to eliminate their client base. Combining ancient Asian wisdom and modern medical research, a former marine Special Forces trainer and Korean doctor has created a simple, accurate and effective belly busting program. This system peels back the veil on weight loss by dispelling the myths and showing you the science behind how the body works and how to work in harmony with your body’s natural fat burning abilities to rapidly, safely and permanently shed unsightly and unhealthy pounds. And what’s one of the most important keys that lie at the heart of Fat Decimator and at the heart of your weight loss trouble – salt! That’s right good ‘ol sodium chloride… Finally, independent clinical research clearly illustrates how cutting salt from your diet is actually counter-productive to weight loss and can even cause long-term health risks. Doctor Sam Pak, a specialist on internal medicine and human biochemistry as well as being one of the co-founders of Kyle Cooper’s Fat Decimator system explains the true relationship between salt and weight loss. “Your body uses salt for a variety of reasons. Among these is that salt helps balance the PH levels of your stomach acid, allowing you to more easily break down foods for efficient digestion. By robbing your body of salt, you not only reduce the amount of nutrients your lower GI is absorbing, you’re also preventing the body from breaking down certain acids that are dangerous to the rest of the body.” Doctor Pak continues, “When you don’t break these acids down, your body begins to create and store more fat as a defense against these harmful acids. Your body enters a state known as metabolic acidosis. I liken it to leaving a pot of stew on the stove. Over time, the food begins to rot. This is exactly what happens in the human body as a result of a lack of salt. No matter how hard you work, you’ll simply create more fat deposits and erode muscle tissue.” Eating the right amount of salt is just one critical component in your weight loss journey. In their program, Doctor Pak and Kyle Cooper explain exactly how this works and how certain fruits and vegetables thought to be healthy also contain dangerous amino acids that are harming your body. The system also discusses the need for carbs, how to exercise properly and a variety of other techniques that have delivered remarkable results to over 50,000 regular people just like you. In his presentation, Kyle talks about how he met Doctor Pak and how they worked to create the system. He also explains how that very system literally saved the lives of a woman in her early 40’s who was facing her own demise from heart disease. “Sharon’s story has inspired many folks,” Kyle notes, “Including me. My chance meeting with her and watching her turn her life completely around in a matter of a month showed me that sharing this information was what the good lord really wanted me to do.” Everything contained in the program is backed by hard science. Even Sharon Monroe’s miraculous change was tested by experts at John’s Hopkins who confirmed that her health had indeed improved and that she’d actually turned back the clock of age. The Fat Decimator System gives you the power to boost your body’s own metabolic processes, improve your digestion, enhance your ability to fight disease all while delivering astonishing weight loss results. While no one can guarantee another’s results, testimonials from thousands have clearly shown that losing 7 pounds per week is a moderate goal if the system is followed to the letter. Enthusiastic users: David W. of Clarksville, Maryland tried the system as a last resort. He reported that after losing 5 pounds his first week, he went on to lose a total of 47 and has never felt better in his life. Susan G. of Houston, TX lost a total of 34 pounds in a single month. She was thrilled to say that none of her clothes would fit and that she was once again able to fit into the size 8’s she’d been saving for years. Fat Decimator is a simple step by step process that doesn’t require starving yourself, grueling workouts, crazy pills or supplements or expensive exercise gadgets that don’t work. The next question is what is the best way to achieve your fitness goals? In a few other articles, I’ve discussed dieting, specifically the Fat Decimator System, and how its a good start. But no weight loss regime is complete without an exercise component. What I like about the Fat Decimator System is it does include exercises and talks about how eliminating one veggie can greatly benefit your weight loss! but maybe you want to take your workout to the next level. If that’s the case then let’s look at a gym membership versus a home gym. ## The Gym The cost-A gym membership can cost$700+ a year

The pressure-Every gym has it. That obnoxious guy that grunts with every move he makes. It’s easy to become intimidated in a gym environment

The travel time-Getting up and going to the gym can take a lot of time and headaches. It could be enough to discourage you from getting that crucial workout in the first place

The sanitation-Unfortunately some gyms are cleaner than others. I’ve found sweat, band-aids, amongst other things on gym equipment

The contracts-Most gyms require a minimum 1-2 year contract!

Watch this Cracked video on Gyms! It’s hilarious which is why it has over 2 million views!

## Time to Buy a Bowflex Right? Not so fast…

There are several things to consider prior to purchasing a home gym

The setup-Home gyms can be tough to set up for most people and downright impossible for others. If you do get one the best and safest way is to pay a professional to set it up for you

The space-This isn’t as big of a problem as it used to be as they’ve gotten really good at making home gyms more and more compact but still space is a factor

The upfront cost-Speaking of costs a good complete home gym isn’t cheap. The Bowflex Xtreme SE, for example, is going to set you back about \$1000 on amazon and that’s not including the cost of hiring someone to set it up if you can’t figure it out yourself!

These are all factors you need to consider before spending your hard earned cash on one of these things.

## Vitamin C’s Role in Weight Loss!

Vitamin C does much more than just fight colds. There is a way to target foods high in Vitamin C in recipes for your juices to make fat burning an easy process.

It has been proven that Vitamin C plays an important role in boosting metabolism and aiding weight loss. In this short video, we will be taking a closer look at the benefits of vitamin C to the body and how it can help you lose weight.

Vitamin C is also known as ascorbic acid is a water soluble vitamin and it functions as an antioxidant in the body. What this means is that the nutrient neutralizes free radicals that can cause cell damage in the body.

As this nutrient is water soluble, our body does not have the ability to produce or store it. So, in order to ensure that we always have the proper amount of vitamin C in our system, we have to get it from the food we eat on regular basis, since vitamin c deficiency can lead to health problems.

## How can vitamin C help with weight loss?

If you’ve been making use of juicing recipes for weight loss, you may have noticed that you tend to get better results when you include more foods high in vitamin C.

Studies have shown that eating foods very rich in vitamin C can increase the rate at which fat burn during exercises. This is as a result of the amazing teamwork between vitamin C and antioxidant carnitine.

What carnitine does is help your body turn fat into energy. Even though your body can produce carnitine, vitamin C will be required in other to activate it. Carnitine on the other hand boosts the workings of vitamin C in the body.

A study published in the Journal of the American College of Nutrition has it that if one has a healthy level of vitamin C in their body, fat burning can be up to 30% during exercises.

Therefore, to ensure you’re getting the maximum benefit from your exercises, you should top up with a juice rich in vitamin C in time. Also, the teamwork between carnitine and vitamin C can enable you exercise for longer periods, as it gives you more energy.

If you’re finding it very difficult to lose weight, even though you exercise all the time, try consuming more foods high in vitamin C such as tomatoes, watermelon, papaya, orange, cranberries, spinach, green beans, romaine lettuce, cabbage, green bell pepper, blueberries, mango, red bell pepper, broccoli, etc.

You can start your day tomorrow by taking grapefruit or orange juice in the morning before hitting the road. It’s your body, so take care of it.

## How the Government’s Nutrition Guidelines Made Us Fat

Government made a big mistake with the dietary guidelines,” says Nina Teicholz, author of New York Times bestseller The Big Fat Surprise: Why Butter, Meat and Cheese Belong in a Healthy Diet.

“Given the track record that they have so far, you can really make a plausible argument that they’ve done more harm than good.” Consumption of meat, butter, eggs, and cheese were once encouraged as part of a healthy diet.

Then in the 1950s, a Minnesota doctor named Ancel Keys put forth his diet-heart hypothesis, claiming that saturated fats raise cholesterol levels and cause heart attacks.

Keys produced landmark studies of the relationship between diet and heart disease that transformed nutrition science.

He became a powerful figure in the science community. Contemporaries who publicly questioned the validity of his findings risked losing their research funding or becoming pariahs. When the U.S. adopted dietary guidelines in 1980, Keys’ recommendations became enshrined in national food policy.

“We have made our policy based upon this weak kind of science called epidemiology which shows association, but not causation,” Teicholz explains. “We have the situation where we just cannot reverse out of these policies that were originally based on really weak science.”

Keys’ flawed research is one reason Americans have been getting fatter and unhealthier for decades. Despite major advances in treatment, heart disease is still the leading cause of death for men and women.

“The really dominant view is that the dietary guidelines are good…and the reason America is fat and sick is that America has failed to follow them,” Teicholz says. “That’s when you start looking at the data…By every food category you can find, we have faithfully, dutifully followed the guidelines.”

Today the science behind Keys’ dietary findings is once again being challenged. Teicholz has launched the Nutrition Coalition, which aims to inform food policy with rigorous science. “Our goal is educate people about how the dietary guidelines have not been successful…and to bring this alternative policy viewpoint to policy makers,” says Teicholz. “More and more experts are willing to talk out about the science, and I think that will support change.”
